Training

Using webERP and fine tuning it's operation for maximum effect in your business is most easily achieved on-site where interaction and demonstration of the possibilities can be explained in person. Learning by experimenting is not easy for everyone and learning at a pace that suits individuals in the team can only be acheived with on-site tuition.

In the Wellington and Lower North IslandĀ  of New Zealand on-site training and support can be easily arranged.

For other locations skype, phone and email support is available subject to time-differences (we are at GMT+12)

Importing Customers, Delivery Addresses, Items Or Vendors

The same scale of charging applies to each - pricing is available on the web-store. Given a spreadsheet formated as per a template that will be provided each of these can be imported into webERP. Due to the differing location of the various pieces of information in different systems it is hard to quote for the cost of preparing the import spreadsheets. However, a quotation can be given based on the receipt of data files as raw exports from the existing ERP system.

Importing Your Chart Of Accounts

Where the business has a chart of accounts that it has used and wishes to retain - then it is important to enter this before any other activity in sub-modules. It is possible to import an existing chart of accounts. Logic Works can load a chart of accounts provided in Excel or Open-Office format:

Account number, account name, account group

and account groups in the format:
Account Group Name, Profit and Loss, Position in TB

Given spreadsheet files in this format we can import this into your installation of webERP - latest pricing is available from our web-store.

If formating your existing chart of accounts in Excel or Open Office is not something that you are comfortable with or have the time for, Logic Works can provide convert the spreadsheet into the required format and import it into webERP for you - such an exercise would be charged on a time and mateials basis.

Other Data Imports

It is possible to import all open-transactions in accounts receivebale and accounts payable and the general ledger account history. Again the format of the data as exported from the existing system is the key factor in determining the cost of importing it to webERP. Such work can be undertaken on a time and materials basis at our usual economical charge out rates!

Hosting webERP

If you require internet web-hosting for your webERP implementation this can be arranged on your behalf. In theory the location of the web-host does not matter. However, in practice it is best to have your web-host with servers relatively close to your operations to avoid latency lags in connections and internet traffic congestion issues. Typically 3rd party web-hosting costs are around:

  • US/Canada - USD$10 per month.
  • NZ/Australia - AUD$20 per month.

Payment for a year in advance is required. The advantage of third party hosting is that backup and server hardware support is effectively out-sourced and all that is then required to run webERP is an internet connection. Server configuration, backup generators, email forwarding for the domain etc can all be out-sourced removing an unnecessary headache for the business - for a minimal cost. Whilst the selection of web-hosting companies is made based on the best information available, Logic Works Ltd cannot be held liable for failures of the web-hosting company.

The contract for web-hosting would be between your business and the third party web-host. Logic Works Ltd will co-ordinate this actvity and charge a flat fee - see the web-store for latest pricing.
